Deepwater gas hydrates drilling and coring techniques

Gas hydrates is the best substitute of petroleum and natural gas, how to drilling the gas hydrates is a challenge during the gas hydrates exploration period. The paper introduces techniques of drilling gas hydrates in South China Sea during May, 2007, describing the drilling equipment, BHA, operation procedure and four kinds of coring tools. The success of using gas hydrates drilling and coring techniques will exert positive effect on gas hydrates drilling operation of our country.
