Mechanical analysis software of downhole operation pipe strings and its application

  • As an important engineering means of oil-gas exploration and development, downhole operation has made prominent progress in recent years. With the continuous development of drilling technology, the boreholes become more and more complex, which presents higher requirements for downhole operation. Previous operation that was only dependent on the experience has been behind the times and often resulted in various downhole accidents. In the design process, we use the mechanical analysis of downhole operation pipe strings to predict some potential dangers, so as to prevent accident and make design more rational and feasible. During the process of operation, we use it to analyze some accident cause, so that pertinent measures can be taken with less time and cost and higher efficiency. The software can be used to calculate mechanical state of pipe string in the course of trip in/out, fracturing and fishing etc, and optimize tubing length preliminarily. The software has guiding significance in mechanics analysis of downhole service pipe strings, no matter indoor design or on site operation. And it has been applied in Dagang and Changqing oilfield etc.
