Experimental study of DFC non floating bead low density cement slurry system

  • The conventional floating bead low density slurry is restricted by the batch production of floating beads. Since the high pressure volume of the floating bead low density cement contracts, as a result, the slurry density increases. Based on the rational gradation and close packing of particles, through conducting experiments on the compressive resistance of cement pastes, the cement slurry subsiding stability and the supersonic wave, the FC-1, FC-2, FC-3, and FC-4 low density slurry additives are selected out. Through rational additives proportioning and selection of low density slurry additives, the experiments on dehydration, slurry densification, and surface simulation are conducted. The DFC non floating bead low density cement slurry of which the density ranges from 1.40 g/cm3 to 1.50 g/cm3 is developed. The slurry system features in high intensity and high fading-resisting ability. It can be applied to the oil well cementing by replacing the commonly used floating bead low density slurry. The integral performance of the system can meet the requirement of the oilfield cementing and the latter oilfield development. Field surface stimulating test shows that the conventional dry mixing equipment can meet of demand of the system for uniformly mixing. The slurry system has great feasibility for operation.
