Injection parameters optimization for viscosity reducer flooding in Taobao Oilfield

  • As the Taobao Oilfield features in poor cementation, easy sand leak, and thin barrier, using the one dimensional tubular-type physical model, taking oil recovery as the evaluation means for oil displacement, three kinds of viscosity reducer are selected to conduct the experiment of physical simulation of oil displacement in the lab, aiming at determine suitable producing methods and optimized injection parameters. Results show that the oil displacement effect will be better if selecting the A-type viscosity reducer with the Fatty Alcohol polyoxyethylene carboxylate as the major component, of which the concentration is 0.5%, the injection rate is 1.0 mL/min, and the injection slug is 0.5 PV, injecting the 0.25 PV viscosity reducer before adding 0.25 PV water, and then adding 0.25 PV viscosity reducer again till the end of subsequent water cut.
