Abstract
Based on the Reynolds stress model CFD numerical simulation method, the experimental study is conducted on the oil-water two-phase flow field in oil-water cyclone separators. Research shows that the produced liquid at the entrance interferes with each other, which exerts great effect on oil-water separation. According to this, a new structure-the oil-water cyclone separator with the spatial Archimedes spiral cord imported flow channel and conduction current spiral- is proposed. Further optimal design and performance test show that smooth transition between Archimedes spiral and cyclone chamber is realized, and therefore more stable flow field and higher separating efficiency are fulfilled.
