Open-hole sidetrack drilling technique for C33H under-displacement horizontal well

  • Due to the technical problems such as the limited capacity of drilling and work-over rig and limit of offshore cluster well rabbet, which may cause easily pre-target under-displacement and frequent adjustment of lower track caused by insufficient geological data, for C33H well located in Liaodong Bay, the well structure is optimized, the well bore trajectory is reasonably designed and BHA and drilling parameters are selected carefully in the process of drilling. At the same time, by drilling capacity analysis of Power Drive X5 push-the-bit rotary steerable tool, optimization of sidetrack point, fine requirements for sidetrack operation, Power Drive X5 tool is used for drilling in the vacant side of the hole, avoiding the loss due to uncertainty of geological factors and saving the cost of drilling, to accumulate technical experience for the follow-up similar job in the Bohai Oilfield.
