Technical research on improving efficiency of gas drilling in Qingshen Gas Field

  • The drilling practice of Qingshen Gas Field shows that gas drilling can improve the efficiency of drilling speed, but there is much mud shale in gas drilling application interval. Therefore, once the formation water flows out from the formation, the complex problems, such as pipe sticking, likely occur, which have great effect on drilling, logging, and cementing, etc. This paper analyzes the factors that affect the efficiency of gas drilling and rebuild water forecasting model for formation water overflowing during gas drilling according to previous drilling experience. Based on the theoretical analysis, the researchers have improved related equipment and technology, and formed a series of matched technologies. The application of six wells shows through the improvement of related technology, complex incidents have been prevented efficiently, the quality of well has been guaranteed as well as the overall benefit of gas drilling has been improved.
