Injecting-producing well completion technique in Wen96 underground gas storage

  • The Wen96 underground gas storage is a typical depleted gas reservoir storage, which has a low reservoir pressure and large interlayer pressure difference. Simultaneously, the large thickness, big numbers and long span of perforated intervals also bring on many issues for reservoir protection and safety production. Based on the reservoir characteristics of Wen96 underground gas storage and the requirement of intensive injection and production for the injection-production well, the injection-production well completion pipe string structure was properly designed and the perforation parameters were optimized. The negative pressure multistage detonating Tubing Conveyed Perforation (TCP) technique cooperating with the low damage completion fluid systems was used to solve conflicting issues between reservoir protection and well control safety. Field application shows that this technique can effectively protect reservoir, shorten the work period and achieve the capacity design requirement of injection - production well.
