Analysis on perforated casing deformation of sanding wells in Jidong Oilfield

  • Based on the casing deformation statistical data of sand wells in Gaoshangpu shallow layers of Jidong Oilfield, the position or part of casing damage was analyzed in unconsolidated sandstone of this oilfield. It is figured out that casing deformation mainly occurred in 1 850~2 000 m depth in representative zone of Block Gaoshangpu, which consistent with the layers of the production formation. Analytic result believes that the sand causing loss of casing support is one of the casing deformation reasons, and the overburden pressure is the direct cause of casing deformation. The casing deformation mechanism caused by the overburden pressure change was analyzed by considering the change due to sanding and formation pressure drop. The deformation situation of perforated casing was simulated by using ABAQUS software and the perforated casing deformed shape rules were studied and analyzed under the pressure of overlying strata. This study provides a basis for preventing casing deformation in sand wells.
