Drilling engineering design of low pressure low permeability depleted sandstone gas storage

  • The depleted gas storage is characterized by low formation pressure, long operational cycle and large quantity of injection and production, which requires higher quality of drilling and cementing. Based on the geologic feature and design requirement of gas storage Well Wen23, and taking the reservoir protection, cementing quality and salt formation interval into account, the paper made the optimization of well profile, casing string, cementing, drilling fluid system and reservoir protection, and formed the drilling engineering design of Well Wen23. It provided a technical reference for drilling design of depleted gas storage of low pressure and low permeability reservoir in China.
