Network fracturing field test

  • To improve the effectiveness of network fracturing, this paper details the disadvantages of the wax balls as blocking material, and they are reducing pumping efficiency, not having enough strength and reducing the fracture conductivity. Based on the proppant conductivity test, the blocking fracturing using large size proppant was recommended, and it has been applied in 15 layers of 9 wells. In addition, TSO fracturing also has been field tested in 1 layer. The analyses after fracturing show that both the two methods improve the fracture net pressure effectively. The oil production of first three months is 101.2%, 103.8%, 133.3% higher than that of adjacent wells, so the technology is one of effective ways in which make low/extra low permeability be developed economically.
