Development and field application of DQNBMS-1 near-bit measurement while drilling

  • The parameter measuring point of regular measurement while drilling system is far from the bit, and the measurement information is lagging to be obtained, resulting in lower ratio of penetrating thin sandstone and ineffective development of the reservoir. DQNBMS-1 near-bit measurement while drilling system was developed, with the distances of three parameter measuring points to bit less than one meter, by the innovative design of near-bit measurement sub configuration and the design of miniaturized and low power consumption electrocircuit. Through the real-time measurement data of many parameters with near distance, we can master the inclination at the bottom of a well, distinguish stratigraphic fluctuation, judge the relative position of the bit and reservoir, adjust well trajectory in time, and improve the ratio of penetration. The accuracy and reliability of DQNBMS-1 and higher ratio of sandstone penetration are proved in field application. Compared with LWD, DQNBMS-1 is more beneficial for the judgment of formation characteristics and the high-accuracy bit control in the reservoir, and the ratio of sandstone penetration is increased by 15%, offering a powerful technical support for exploiting thin sandstones.
