Mixing water fracturing technology for tight oil reservoir in Ordos Basin

  • Because of tight lithological characters and poor matter properties of Chang C reservoir in Ordos Basin, increase production using conventional processes is limited, so that enhancing single well production is facing the huge challenges. In 2011, aiming at the geological characteristics of this tight reservoir, mixing water fracturing testing in vertical wells of tight reservoirs was conducted by using the successful experience of tight oil reservoir development aboard and taking the volume fracturing as the ideals. Periodical results in the new fracturing technology have been achieved. Through the process research and pilot experiment analysis of mixing water fracturing technology in tight oil reservoir in Ordos Basin, new thoughts and new methods of enhancing single well production were explored for Changqing tight reservoir, and also offer valuable experiences and reliable scientific research for the follow-up effectively development of tight oil reservoirs in Ordos Basin.
