Process research and pilot experiment analysis of fracturing technology in deep shale gas reservoirs

  • Initial evaluation shows that, the artesian well groups in shale gas reservoirs of Yuanba region in Sichuan basin have potential to produce commercial amounts of natural gas. Buried depth of the shale reservoirs is 4000 meters, which far exceeds the buried depth range of common layers of shale reservoirs in America. So stimulation technology research on this kind of reservoirs becomes the original one at home and abroad. On the basis of gas reservoirs comprehensive evaluation, taking references and experiences from the stimulation of Well FS1, researches of multiple aspects have been conducted which includes running string, formula of fracturing fluid, fracturing size and parameters combined with fracturing mechanism of shale gas reservoirs. Through, large-scale fracturing technology appropriate for shale reservoirs initially formed in Yuanba region, and achieved success in experiment of Well YB9. Pilot experiment analysis provides meaning references for large-scale fracturing technology in similar deep shale gas reservoirs.
