Integral mechanical analysis on monocular triple-well riser structure

  • As the main structure type used on present monopod platform, the monocular triple-well risers can significantly decrease the development cost for marginal fields. The assembly configuration of monocular triple-well risers is introduced and the integral mechanical analysis method is proposed for the assembly configuration. The calculation method of the mechanical model is simplified, and the accuracy is increased. Taken Bohai Field as an example, the influence of cement sheath on the mechanical properties is analyzed. Results show that the integral mechanical analysis on monocular triple-well riser structure can lower the blindness and risk of oversea operations, and decrease the development cost of small fields.
