Application of sidetracking multilateral horizontal well in buried hill formation of Liaohe Oilfield

  • Sheng 601-H402CH is the first sidetracking multilateral horizontal well in buried hill formation of Liaohe Oilfield. The main purpose of the well is to use the multilateral well technology to development of the upper reservoir under non ideal conditions of lower reservoir, in order to reduce drilling cost, and make reservoir efficient, economic development. The design and construction of Sheng 601-H402CH have been optimized according to the reservoir characteristic and oil recovery demand. Using transfixion technique and connecting pre-cutting window casing and hollow whipstock, and formed good communicated channel for oil. Using sidetracking technique and fishbone drilling technique from forward to downward, the difficult problem of hard formation unable to drill fishbone horizontal well was been solved and carry out the drilling operation at last. The successful design and drilling of this well prove that application of sidetracking horizontal well technology in the deep hard buried hill formation is feasible.and lay the foundation for further promotion and application of sidetracking horizontal well technology in buried hill formation of Liaohe Oilfield.
