Research on thaw gel plugging agent with high temperature resistance

  • In order to effectively solve the problems that water production in oil wells and gas channel in gas injection wells encountered in during high temperature development process, organic plugging agents were modified by using inorganic acid corrosion materials. Research shows that the organic plugging agents modified by inorganic materials can be resistant to120 degrees for more than three months with constant temperature treatment, and the agents featured by no hydrolyzing, no glue broken and thick solid. The indoor experimental evaluation of plugging agent illustrates that core plugging rate is up to 99.63%, and acid etching rate is 22.43%. This research provides a new idea for future prospecting in plugging water production of oil wells and gas channeling of gas injection well in the high temperature reservoirs.
