Productivity evaluation of operation dynamics water-flooding gas storage

  • During the operation of water-flooding gas reservoir storage, edge water migration is often resulted in gas-water two-phase distribution and the complexity of percolation characteristics, so it is always hard to predict the dynamic operation indexes of gas storage. In order to correctly illustrate the operation rules of injection-production in water-drive gas storage, the intelligent simulation systems of storages construction and injection-withdrawal running were designed according to the geological characteristics of reservoirs, and then a lot of stimulated comparing experiments were finished. By analyzing the operating regularity of water flooding gas storage, it was believed that edge-water movement could be the mainly factor of influence the productive capacity of reservoirs on gas storage, and the mathematical formulas for forecasting the operating dynamics of water flooding gas storage was deduced in terms of indoor physical stimulation. Chart board for forecasting dynamical operation efficiency of gas storage in gas reservoir with water flooding was presented according to corresponding relationships among edge-water movement, expansion effect of reservoir rocks and formation distribution characteristics. The analytical method proposed though filed sampling test results was proved to be verified effective, and the recognition chart board will provide effective evidence for productivity evaluation of water flooding gas storages.
