Quick riser piling techniques in Yacheng 13-1 gas field

According to the development need of Yacheng 13-1 gas field, totally four extended reach wells were drilled and completed between Dec. 2009 and Oct. 2010, among which Well A10 and Well A15 were completed by rig piling method for the risers with ?660.4 mm. Based on the piling operation on Well A10 and Well A15, some relating theoretical calculations were taken to conduct formation load bearing capacity analysis, pile hammer selection and installing design, guiding shoe design, and jointer design. The pile driving monitor data acquisition system was applied and the complete quick piling technique was formed. The technique passed the field test and obtained favorable application effect. The piling technique on Yacheng 13-1 gas field would be a positive reference for piling operation on offshore drilling.
