Horizontal well multistage refracturing practice in Well Baimiao-H1

  • Well Baimiao-H1 is a stepped horizontal well with casing completion. The well was stimulated in its main gas layer L81 using hydraulic jet fracturing technique by way of two stages after being put into operation, but did not succeed. Later, all the main gas layers were perforated, and the gas production rate was still not as good as expected. Considering its huge production potential, Baker Hughs open hole completion multistage fracturing tools were adopted, by which multistage fracturing operations with a total of seven stages were conducted on its main gas layer and other newly perforated gas layers. The total fracturing fluid of the initial design was 1520.2 m3 with 128.1 m3 fracturing proppant. After the mini-fracturing, the operational parameters were adjusted, and a total of 1659.6 m3 fluid was actually pumped down into the hole with 170 m3 proppant added. 7 days later, fracturing fluid was flew back to the hole through ?3 mm choke, and the daily gas flow rate reached 8459-18700 m3 while the daily oil flow rate was 12.9-16.8 t. The successful practice on this well provides the developing direction for future completion and fracturing technologies that suitable for low permeability horizontal wells in Zhongyuan Oilfield.
