Abstract
In order to accurately reflect the situation of fluid flow in horizontal wells and nearby formations in thin oil-layers, taking the produced section of horizontal well as the research subject, this paper considered the additional pressure drop caused by acceleration in borehole and established a mathematical model of coupling flow in wellbore and oil layers for perforated horizontal wells in thin-layered reservoir based on continuity of pressure and flow on the boundary. Appling this model into practice, the results show that pressure distribution near the wellbore present wave shape and the pressure along wellbore decrease with the increase of well length; moreover, velocities of fluid in the wellbore increase stepwise. The coupling model built in this paper illustrates directly the position and numbers of perforation which provides a theoretical basis for completion design of the horizontal well in oilfields.
