Net fracturing by changing the surrounding in-situ stress in shale reservoirs

  • Stimulated reservoir volume(SRV)has became one of the most important methods to effectively stimulate unconventional reservoirs, and the concern about SRV technology mainly focus on optimization of staged fracturing with different clusters in horizontal wells. The further analysis on calculating method of induced stress and the determination faction of the induced stress in dealing with regional dynamic stress field have been made to put forth the method for the fracture net come into being in the direction of perpendicular to wellhole by controlling the induced stress. During the process of fracturing, the first fracturing was designed on the basis of in-situ stress data to bring forth the needing induced stress, and then fracture net were formed in the second fracturing, this mean has made great breakthroughs in actual practice. The obviously evident show that optimal design and integrated technique improvement according to various shale reservoir characteristics and which was with an important significance for unconventional reservoir volume stimulation.
