Experimental study on jetting drilling technology in Jingbei buried hill reservoir

  • For jetting drilling technology, a kind of self-penetration bit is taken as the bit, and soft pipe is used to supply sources and control the trajectory. The clean flow path is formed by high pressure jetting between wellbore and reservoir, and it can reach 100 meters far. The technology mechanism was introduced, and the drilling parameters design was conducted regarding to the reservoir formation property of the pilot. Small diameter(?13 mm)coiled tubing was taken as the operation pipe. After milling 6 small holes on the casing wall between the depth of 2713 m and 2865 m, the ?13 mm jetting nozzle was used to make 4 horizontal flow paths with the length of 50 m and 2 horizontal flow paths with the length of 60 m. The treating pressure was 55 MPa, and the injection rate was 1.2~1.5 m3/h. The treating time for each hole was nearly 20 h. The oil tube consists of ?73 mm pipes and ?89 mm pipes. The test is the first domestic case of jetting drilling in buried hill fractured carbonate reservoir with high pour point crude. It is successful with oil production increasing ratio of 357%. The test proves the bright future of application of jetting drilling technology in carbonate reservoirs.
