Simplified technique for multistage separate pressure in thin-interbedding reservoirs with low-permeability

  • In order to solve the problem of multistage separate pressure in thin-interbedding reservoirs with low-permeability, and to enhance the daily oil production of single well, we used separate layer fracturing continuously in several intervals with low density oil-soluble plugging ball to evaluate the performance of the plugging ball. This paper introduced some key points, such as the principle of separating pressure by plugging ball, especially the drilling fluid parameters, operation scale and optimization of construction displacement during the separating pressure with plugging ball. Some preliminary exploration for the influence of fracturing fluid viscosity on crack height were conducted to indicate that low density oil-soluble plugging ball is the safest and simplest technique for multistage separating pressure in thin-interbedding reservoirs with low-permeability, which explained in fracturing optimization design and fracturing treatment terms. The field operation in 500 wells suggested that the technique has increased the plugging efficiency to 100 percent, and the oil increment per well was four times more than before the treatment.
