Study and application on network fracturing technology in fractured reservoir

  • The productivity of fractured well in fractured reservoir was affected mainly by the controlling area of natural fracture system communicated by dominant fracture. Short-term output of fractured reservoir came from dominant fracture with high conductivity after fracturing while the long-term production decided by the natural network fractures. Major principle of conventional fracturing was to get dominant fracture by restrain natural fractures; witch limited the sespage area of fluid and contrasted to the fracturing stimulation. In order to improve the effect of fractured well, complex network fractures were need after treatment to communicate bigger flow domain and reach to longer distance fracture, then both advantage of dominant fracture and natural fracture network were utilized. Besides the Network fracture forming conditions for hydraulic fracturing, the key parameters of network fracturing were analyzed in this paper. Field application shows that the yield-increased effect of network fracturing better than that of conventional treatment.
