Productivity analysis and parameter optimization for deep hydraulic jet perforation wells

  • The mechanisms of perforation penetration and production of the hydraulic jetting perforation are very different from those of the conventional perforation. The factors affecting well productivity are more complex. Currently, there is no effective method and theory of productivity evaluation for the hydraulic jetting perforation. Based on the potential superposition principle and infinitesimal line congruence theory, a new productivity evaluation model for the hydraulic jetting perforation was presented. Interferences between perforations, irregular variable mass flow in perforations and coupling effect between reservoir percolation flow and perforation flow were considered. The major factors affecting well productivity were analyzed and optimized. It is found that the perforation number, the perforation length, areal perforation distribution and vertical perforation density are the major factors affecting well productivity. The study results provide an effective guide for field application and design of hydraulic jetting perforation.
