Development and application of GPZK344-98 squeeze-typepacker of high expansion ratio

  • Setting pressure of systematic K344 packers is about 0.8 MPa,so half-way setting may occur while logging, and positive replacement could not be fulfilled when using injection technogy such as acidizing. As a result acid solution could not reach strata. To solve the problem, GPZK344-98 packer is developed. The mechanism preventing half-way setting is designed, and setting pressure is higher than 10 MPa. So the packer could be set to designed position. Meanwhile, positive replacement could be fulfilled while acidizing, and the successs rate by taking these measures could be increased. The technology has been applied to 11 wells and the successs rate reaches 100%, providing technological support for stratified acidization of casing deformation wells and highly-deviated wells.
