Application and progress of surfactants for ASP flooding

The application and progress of the surfactants for Alkaline/Surfactant/Polymer（ASP）flooding in recent years are introduced briefly, in particular the performance and progress of petroleum sulfonate, alkyl benzene sulfonate, petroleum carboxylate and α-olefin sulfonate are discussed in details. It is proposed that focus be paid on the development of surfactants with a wide range of raw materials and higher activity. Molecular structure should be improved to meet the site requirements, and attention should be paid to the surfactants with unique performance such as gemini surfactant, fluorocarbon alkyl benzene sulfonate, alkyl benzene sulfonate, etc., so as to meet the requirements of oilfield development.
