Research and application of flexible pluger retrievable standing valve pumps

  • Now during the the process of pump detection, the entire pump needs to pulled out and replaced by a new one. So the workover cost may increase. To solve the problem, the flexible plunger retrievable standing valve pump is developed. The plunger is mainly made from fluoroplastic materials plus auxiliary materials, so ti has strong abrasion resistence. When the exterior surface is abraded, the plunger can compensate itself through expansion, and the fit clearance between it and the pump barrel will not be increased. It is easy to workover. And it is not necessary to pull out the tubing from holes. The only work is to pull out the rod, replace plunger cup and traveling valve. Field application shows that workover time and cost are saved. This kind of pump has a good future in the oilfield.
