Research on sand fracturing technology of Sulige gas field

  • Sulige gas field attracts worldwide attention with its enormous reserves, as well as “low-permeability, low pressure, low abundance, and low yield” features. Through four years of exploration and practice, a development model with large scale has been formed. Hydraulic fracturing is an important approach to putting gas wells into production. The approach of net pressure fitting for crack extension is used to obtain fracture parameters. Single well productivity analysis and forecast are conducted on the basis of productivity fitting. Based on rock mechanics parameters of the formation, considering the safety condition of the well head, unique separate layer fracturing technology is developed. The use of low-damage N2 foaming fracturing fluid helps solve the problem of difficult flowback of fracturing fluid in gas wells, and reduced damage to the reservoir. The technology has been applied to more than 300 wells, with the average AOF being 18.37×104 m3/d. The AOF of 13 wells exceeds 100×104 m3/d, and the maximum AOF of single well reaches 131.62×104 m3/d. The effectiveness of stimulating is remarkable.
