The first application of domestic rotating liner hanger in China

The rotating liner hanger has been used widely on offshore and onshore rigs with good performance, but the liner and associated parts were all provided by foreign companies, domestic products haven’t been used on location due to different reasons. This paper introduced the structural features of domestic rotating liner hanger and cementing procedures with rotating liner. In view of the operational difficulties of fault block in Xin-176 Well in Dongxin Oil Field, domestic rotating liner hanger was selected to use and associated calculation was conducted. Field operational sheet and cementing procedures were provided. Field application shows that the domestic rotating liner hanger used in the complicated Xin-176-Xie #16 Well in Dongxin Fault-block of Shengli Oil Field can be rotated smoothly, the performance was reliable and cementing job quality was good.
