C1+GAMMA geosteering drilling technology for Wei360-H1 well

  • To reduce costs and realize precise control of the geological target, the penetration coefficient of horizontal hole is improved by integrating the geological data of old oil pools of Zhongyuan Oilfield, using the MWD-GAMMA technology and the C1 methane monitoring data for gas logging, adjusting trajectory control through calculation, and determining reservoir landing and strike-dip change. The purpose of geosteering drilling of horizontal wells is fulfilled. Combined with the operation of Wei360-H1 well, the application of the C1+GAMMA geosteering drilling technology to horizontal wells in thin reservoirs in Zhongyuan Oilfield is discussed in this paper, providing technological reference for the development of horizontal wells in oilfields in the future.
