Online profile control technology of Gel microspheres at Liu28 fault block

  • During the injection test of Liu-28 fault block in Liuzan Oilfield in 2002,the waterflooding characteristic indicate that there is a good reservoir connectivity,heavily monolayer breakthrough and rapid upraising of water percentage.Overall waterflooding was formally conducted in 2006.To control the rise of water percentage and enhance the oil recovery rate,online technologies to control profiles of gel polymer microspheres with pore-throat scale are conducted in the block.Based on the evaluation and analysis of lab experiments,the field construction plan is carefully designed and implemented and hence the daily oil output of the block increases to 130 t from 72 t.The rising of water cut is effectively controlled,the enhanced oil recovery is increased,and the effect of waterflooding is improved.The new technology can fulfill the requirements of deep profile control in reservoirs,providing references for enhancing oil recovery of other heterogeneous oil reservoirs.
