Stability and displacement efficiency evaluation of high-concentration polymeric system

  • High-concentration polymer flooding is a new EOR technique,but the viscoelasticity stability and displacement efficiency of high-concentration polymeric system are the main problem that needs to be solved in production.On the basis of lab test,this paper evaluates the stability of the high-concentration polymeric system and researches the effect of polymeric concentration and molecular weight on displacement efficiency.Results show that time can affect the viscosity of polymeric system,namely,the effect of time on viscosity decreases with the increase of polymer concentration.It also shows that the degradation ratio of system decreases with the increase of molecular weight and increases with the increase of polymer concentration,but polymer solution still has great reserved viscosity.In addition,the more perfect displacement efficiency will be obtained if the higher solution concentration and molecular weight are adopted.
