Fracturing sand control technology of unconsolidated sandstone reservoir

  • The production rate of unconsolidated sandstone reservoir,sand production heavy oil reservoir,lower-productivity sand production reservoir gets lower under conventional sand control.So the author in this paper researches and develops the fracturing sand control technology to solve the problem.Based on acquiring a large number of physical parameters of reservoir,the author uses the imported MFrac fracturing sand control software to simulate the fracture morphology and geometric parameters,optimizing operating parameters,selecting sand carries fluid systems,and designing pump process.According to the designed pump parameters and process,the fracturing sand control pipe string is put in the well and the fractures in strata are packed to realize tip screen-out.At last,annular packing sand control is carried out through the conversion of the pipe string.Application results show that the new technology is fully developed,reliable,and with the advantages of simplifying the operating procedures,shortening operating period,obviously increasing oil production and improving sand control.
