Discussion on the stress sensitivity of reservoir rocks——Reply to Ms Luo Ruilan

The stress sensitivity of reservoir rocks is related to their compressibility.Highly compressible rocks suffer stronger stress sensitivity.The compressibility of rocks is related to their porosity.Rocks of higher porosity have higher compressibility.However,due to the micro interstice between cores and sleeves,laboratory measurements show reverse logic.High compressibilities are measured on rocks of low porosity.And low permeable rocks are highly stress-sensitive.A theoretical analysis in this paper reversed the relationship obtained in laboratory.
