New method on forecasting the absolute open-flow capacity of low permeability gas reservoir

  • During the development of low permeability gas reservoir,the shortness of steady production time results to low economic effect of gas wells.The reasonable production allocation and prolonging the working life of gas well are the key points to develop low permeability gas reservoir effectively and economically.One-fourth or the one-fifth of the absolute open-flow capacity is often taken as the reasonable output in production practice;therefore it is important to ascertain the absolute open-flow capacity of gas well. The paper analyzed the current AOF deliverability test methods as well as their drawbacks and merits,illustrated the theoretical basis of using logging data to calculate the AOF by genetic neural network.Study result shows that this method is a new way to judge the production potential before the testing and can provide guidance to effectively and economically develop low permeability gas reservoir.
