  • This paper summarized the Frac-packing job in Bohai Bay.The Frac Packing experience is good for petroleum engineers to complete the thick oil wells.Frac-Packing,as one of the well stimulation methods,is not like hydraulic fracturing which is used in hard rock formation.On the contrary,Frac-Packing is used in unconsolidated formation.The width of the fracture is the utmost goal to make skin factor smaller as possible.It creates a short but wide fracture to penetrate near-wellbore zone and connects high permeability formation.This paper presents how Frac-Packing is implemented in Bohai bay.Frac-Packing software and calculations are not discussed in this paper.
