Abstract
In order to know how the indigenous microbe enhance oil recovery, the growth and metabolizing of it were studied under simulated reservoir conditions. The main metabolic products acetate and biogas generation, the consumption of dextrose and pressure during waterflooding vs time were all studied separately from static aspect and dynamic aspect. The static conditions study shows that with increase of cultivating time, the acetate concentration rose firstly and then fell and biogas composition varied form aerobic to anaerobic offspring. The study result under dynamic conditions showed that while nutrient was injected, the indigenous microbe grew rapidly, and displace pressure was also increased gradually, and then kept on a level, and at the same time, the permeability of water was reduced 40%.It suggests that the growth of indigenous microbe could plug some porous of reservoir,so which can be used to modify profile and enhanced oil recovery finally.
