ELECTRIC HEATING TECHNOLOGY RESEARCH IN TAOBAO RESERVOIR OF JILIN HEAVY OILFIELD

  • Application of electric heating technology can particularly be beneficial in the situations where steam injection development can not be used due to great depth, formation incompatibility, low incipient injection, excessive heat losses or existence of thief zones, etc. Jilin taobao heavy oilfield is developed recently. The cyclic steam injection method is ineffective. Now other development methods are being studied and tested. One of them is electric heating development method. The paper introduced the principle, equipment, heating characteristics and oversea applications of the electric heating. It finally numerically stimulated the application efficiency of the electric heating development method in Taobao heavy oilfield. And it optimized heating load and time. The result showed that the production could increase about 50%.
