APPLICATION OF FAST SOLIDIFICATION EARLY STRENGTH CEMENT IN COALBED METHANE CEMENTING

  • Due to the shallow hole depth and low bottom hole temperature in coalbed methane wells, conventional oil well cement cannot meet the cementing requirements because of its long solidification time, poor flowability, and inconvenient site operation, etc., thus a type of fast solidification and early strength cement is developed aiming to solve these problems. Cement slurry made by this cement achieves stable performance and short solidification time, and fully meet the requirement of wire logging. Field using in over 40 wells showed that it has improved the cementing excellence rate to 74.2% and all the wells are qualified.
