CEMENTING TECHNOLOGY FOR HIGH PRESSURE GAS WELL OF SMALL CLEARANCE

  • As a high pressure gas well, complete isolation to well Maoba-1 is required. However, during cementing operation and WOC, such risks as cement slurry thickening causing pump failure, salt bed contamination by cement slurry, lost circulation, gas channeling or well kick are likely to happen. Based on careful study and analysis, the method of liner cementing/tie-back was applied, with the help of casing ware and cement slurry system optimization. The cementing of this well was a success and set an example of complex well cementing in this area. Cementing design and operation technologies of this well are illustrated in detail, and it provides valuable experience for cementing the high pressure gas well of small clearance.
