SUMMARY OF PRESENT STUDIES ON MODELING OF NON-CONVENTIONAL WELLS

Nonconventional wells(NCWs) is being taken as an important technology for filed development and recovery enhance. Because nonconventional wells can be very expensive to drill, complete and instrument, it is important to be able to optimize their deployment, which requires the accurate prediction of their performance. The following topics were reviewed in this paper:Analytical and semianalytical modeling of NCWs,NCW models for finite difference methods and near wellbere upscaling. A detailed assessment of the work considered and some piece of suggestion are given at the end of this paper.
