ABNORMAL FORMATION PRESSURE MONITORING AND PREDICTING METHOD

  • Formation pore pressure monitored and predicted in the deep hole section of Zbuang - 1 during real drilling varies gready with the drilling fluid density, and to improve the formation pore pressure monitoring and predicting accuracy in the deep high pressured formation, a systematic research on the pressure of Zhuang - 1 was conducted by using the two new methods, which are monitoring formation pore pressure based on logging data and predicting formation pore pressure based on seismic zonal velocity. Formation pore pressure profiles were established separately based on the three methods as the calculating method of predicting single point based on seismic zonal velocity, the simple method of logging data monitoring and integrated interpretation method; their advantages and disadvantagas were evaluated and their results were compared. Initial calculation showed that the pressure monitoring and predicting method integrated with geology, seismic, drilling, logging and well testing is feasible, and in which the integrated method based on logging data obtains the highest accuracy and it prorides scientific basis for the casing program and drilling fluid design in such blocks.
