  • From the point of formation protection,the fractured reservoirs are classified as reservoir with small to medium fractures and reservoir with large fractures.The main damaging mechanisms of the two different types of reservoirs are analyzed,and it is presented that temporary shield plugging technology of conventional drilling should be selected for reservoir with small to medium fractures;while for reservoir with large fractures,underbalanced drilling technology should be used for formation protection.The key techniques for the operations are also introduced briefly.
