  • Well WS-5 was an important exploratory well of Daqing Oilfield in 2002,and it was drilled to investigate the gas reservoir in the southeast fault of Songliao Basin.Oil in water drilling fluid was used in drilling this well,and underbalanced drilling was conducted,with suitable underbalance value and well control technology adopted.This technology avoided the contamination of the special volcanics reservoir in drilling and reserved the reservoir,with a commercial gas reserve located.Furthermore,it improved the drilling speed,and drill pipe test and reserve circulation killing was also successfully performed.The drilling design,equipment selection and the downhole underbalance value control were also illustrated.
