EXTENDED REACH DRILLING TECHNOLOGY IN WELL BPX-3X1

  • Well BPX-3x1 is the first large extended reach well located onshore of Jidong Oilfield,with a horizontal displacement of 3049.79m,a TMD of 4189m,a TVD of 2452.16m,and a Max.hole inclination of 67.18°,its displacement to TVD rate is 1.24:1,and the drilling cycle lasted out 59.98 days.Many advanced technologies were applied in drilling this well,e.g.,during well designing,Three Pressure Profile Prediction Technology was applied for wellbore stability study,to provide scientific evidences for designing the suitable casing program and drilling fluid density,by analyzing the friction and torque,some useful data were provided for well configuration selection,equipment selection and planning the friction and torque reduction measures.During well drilling,such advanced drilling technologies as top drive,MWD monitoring+steerable drill well trajectory control,water base drilling fluid for extended reach well,high speed linear shale shaker,non-rotation drill pipe protector,friction and torque prediction and analysis software,casing roller centralizer,and full hole logging+drill pipe conveyed logging were used.The drilling design and field operation,as well as the experience and defects were presented in detail
