HIGH TEMPERATURE TEST ON THE PERFORMANCES OF MTC SOLIDFIED MATERIAL

  • As a new cementing technology, the furnace slag MTC technology has been widely used for cementing in medium to low temperature conditions.MTC cement is not inferior to oil well cement on some laboratory indexes and field performances, while it has such advantages as better rheology, good compatibility with drilling fluid, high displacement rate, good stability, low fluid loss, and short static gelling strength transition time, etc.However, its comprehensive performances in medium to high temperature are still uncertain, and further study should be conducted to investigate if its solidified material can meet the requirements of the following operations.Laboratory tests are conducted on the high temperature development tendency of MTC solidified material, its impact resistance and corrosion resistance.Test results show that MTC cement can be used for cementing in the deep wells.
