NEWMETHOD OF WELL LOCATION OPTIMIZING DESIGN

The method of hitting a target zone by properly selecting a suitable surface well location, and taking advantage of the natural inclination building tendency of the formation is good for improving the penetration rate and borehole quality.New method of well location design is presented, which can not only determine a suitable surface well location, but can also present a designed result of hole trajectory.This method is more scientific and practical, and is beneficial for hole trajectory monitoring during field drilling.Factors of influencing the optimization of well location are evaluated, and case histories of well location design and influencing factors evaluation are also presented.
