SIMULATION STUDY TO DESIGN CO2 FLOOD PLOT IN JILIN OILFIELD

  • Reservoir engineering research and reservoir simulation study were conducted to design and optimize the CO2 flood project in Jilin oilfield. The result shows that the reasonable total amount of CO2 is 15%HCPV, and the optimum injection style is suggested as tapering WAG (water-alternating-gas). When the oil production reaches the economic limit, an additional recovery of 5.2 percent of original oil-in-place(OOIP) within the well pattern or 15.9 percent in the CO2 flooded area can be achieved.
